Andrew Whitney is a seasoned strategy and investment-banking professional with over 25 years of executive-level experience across energy, infrastructure, materials, national security, and aerospace technology sectors. His background includes Bain & Co. consulting and the Bain Leveraged Buyout Practice, along with extensive private equity experience. Andrew’s energy-sector career began in 1989 as a market maker for FTSE energy stocks in London. He completed his master’s and PhD dissertations on the post-Soviet Russian energy sector at Cambridge University and has since advised, led, or owned businesses spanning oil, E&P, pipelines, LNG, waste-to-energy, and hydropower renewables across international markets.

Andrew currently drives development of national-scale power assets in Europe while helping Altigen meet the needs of key customers in AI and HPC with exceptional business models and execution. He has briefed a U.S. President in the Oval Office, and led technology and research projects for agencies including the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the Army Science Board (ASB).
